GSR-CD1 is a collection of some 4000 GSR particles acquired by Scanning Electron Microscope [SEM] from approximately 100 different types of pistol ammunitions [22LR, 9mm, 38Sp, 357Mag, 44Mag and 45ACP]. The images are in digital JPG format available for further digital processing if necessary.

1. All photos are BSE images of uncoated samples. The particles were lifted by adhesive carbon tape and placed directly in the SEM for analysis. Most of the BSE images show clearly an interesting distribution of Pb or Sb as bright spots.
2. The necessary composition for a particle to be defined here as GSR, is Ba >10% and Sb > 3% by uncorrected x-ray relative intensity. Pb and other elements are allowed with the Ba and Sb present.
3. There are some non GSR particles shown with a brief composition description such as strontium particles from Sr based primers or other compositions that morphologically look like GSR particles.
